Hosts Unlimited deliver operational expertise, standards compliance and physical security to safeguard your valuable data. Once we have discussed your business needs, we can recommend hosting solutions to meet your requirements efficiently, securely and cost effectively.
Hosting reliability
Our data centres are equipped with full UPS power, back-up systems and N+1 (or greater) redundancy, with a proven, industry-leading uptime record.
Data capacity
High capacity facilities host content, media, financial services and multi-cloud ecosystems, are connected to 1,800+ networks, with 330,000+ interconnections and less than 10ms latency.
Security
Security as standard includes advanced security equipment, techniques and procedures to control and monitor access to our data centres. Each site typically has at least five security checkpoints. This include 24/7 manned security stations, mantraps and biometric readers. In addition to this, the low-profile building design naturally allows a high level of security within each data centre.
Data centre facilities: Quick facts
We host our clients’ equipment across two data centre facilities which are highly focused on international business and provide extensive ecosystems to meet the demand for network exchange services. Our equipment is based in two locations in the south east of the UK, the data centres are in close proximity to central London and the Silicon Corridor (Reading). Our facilities form part of our own MPLS core network; with access to 220+ data centres in 63 major cities, worldwide.
The power systems which support our data centre facilities include full uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems with N+1 redundancy levels or greater and backup generator systems in the event of a local utility failure. Being prepared for any form of power outage, batteries turn on immediately, followed by the generators within 8 seconds. All of which can power the entire data centre.
To keep equipment operating at its peak, the data centres houses a multicomponent temperature control system which runs 24/7/365. Facilities include:
- Variable frequency drives
- Chilled water pumps
- Centrifugal chillers and condenser pumps
- External cooling towers and cold-aisle containment
- CRAC air-handling units in the colocation area
The data centres are certified to the following standards:
ISO 9001:2015 (Quality standards)
ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental management)
ISO 22301 (Business continuity)
ISO 27001 (Security)
ISO 50001 (Energy management)
PCI Data Security Standard (card payments)
